Welcome Reception
We invite all participants to join the official Welcome Reception on Monday evening, 18 May, at Stadskasteel Oudaen, a historic city castle located on Utrecht’s canal. This will be a great opportunity to meet fellow delegates in an informal setting and enjoy a first taste of Utrecht’s hospitality.

Conference Dinner – A Taste of Utrecht
On Tuesday evening, 19 May, the Conference Dinner will take place at the Geertekerk, a former church in the city centre of Utrecht. A former church in the centre of Utrecht. Participants are invited to enjoy a vegetarian walking dinner and meet colleagues in an informal and pleasant atmosphere.
Places are limited, so be sure to reserve your dinner ticket when registering for the conference!

Travel information
From Amsterdam Schiphol Airport
Utrecht is very well connected by train. From Schiphol Airport, direct trains depart every 15 minutes to Utrecht Central Station. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Train tickets can be purchased at the NS ticket machines in the arrivals hall or via the NS app.
Local Transportation in Utrecht
Within Utrecht, you can get around on foot, by bicycle, or using local buses and trams. Most hotels and the conference venue are within walking distance from the train station.
Language: The conference will be held in English.
Currency: The currency in the Netherlands is the Euro (€). Credit cards and debit cards are widely accepted.
Weather: In May, the average temperature in Utrecht is 14–20°C. A light jacket or umbrella is recommended.
Electricity: Standard European plug (230V, type C/F).

There are many hotels within walking distance of Utrecht Central Station and the conference venue. Options range from international chains to boutique hotels. We recommend booking early, as Utrecht is a popular destination.
